Iran’s FM Announces Readiness to Talk with US

(MENAFN) Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that preparations are underway for talks with the United States, with discussions ongoing to finalize the venue.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said the talks are being organized under the directive of President Masoud Pezeshkian. “Planning has been made to hold the talks in the next few days, and consultations are underway to determine the location of the talks, which will be announced as soon as they are finalized,” he stated.

Baghaei expressed appreciation for regional countries that have worked with “concern and goodwill” to help facilitate the diplomatic process. He emphasized that the timing and location of the negotiations should not be a matter of media speculation.

“In principle, the location and time of the talks are not a complicated issue and should not be a tool for media games,” Baghaei said, noting that Türkiye, Oman, and other regional nations have offered to host the talks, a gesture he described as highly valuable.
