Fidan, Omani Counterpart Discuss Regional Developments

(MENAFN) On Sunday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation with his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi to discuss the latest developments in the Middle East.

According to Turkish diplomatic sources, the two ministers exchanged views on the ongoing regional crisis and emphasized the importance of diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions. The discussion was part of ongoing international attempts to find solutions to the conflict and prevent further escalation.

The talks come in the wake of a major US-Israeli military operation against Iran on Saturday, which resulted in the deaths of several senior officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Tehran launched drone and missile strikes targeting US assets and several Gulf countries, heightening regional instability.

The Turkish-Omani dialogue reflects continued diplomatic engagement and coordination among regional and international actors aimed at promoting stability, ensuring the safety of civilians, and seeking peaceful solutions to the escalating conflict.
